Opened in 1886, Maruyama Park is the oldest park in Kyoto City. It sits next to Yasaka Shrine, Chion-in and Kodai-ji, and its vast grounds of about 86,600 square meters are dotted with a strolling-style Japanese garden, traditional restaurants and teahouses. It is Kyoto’s top spot for cherry blossoms, and the blossoms lit up at night in spring are truly worth seeing.

Beautiful in every season, Maruyama Park is a place where visitors can relax.
