For two days, the west side of Osaka becomes one big stage. The Naniwa-suji Mix Music Festival, started in 2023 by local residents, returns for its third edition on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15, 2026, across the Naniwa-suji area. The full timetable, venue map and a second round of performers have now been announced, along with the return of the popular “Noda-Fukushima Genki Bal” bar-hopping event.
Music from parks, cafés and universities
The theme is “Let’s make the west side of Osaka livelier!” (“Osaka no Nishi”). With the Naniwa-suji Line due to open in 2031, the festival connects the people, shops and culture along the route through music and encourages visitors to explore the area on foot.
There are two main parts. One is the “Live Circuit,” staged in open public spaces, universities and eateries. The release lists 11 venues, including the Entrance Plaza at LaXa Osaka, Cafe depot, Art Beat Cafe NAKANOSHIMA and the Osaka University Nakanoshima Center. Each performer’s set is generally about 30 minutes, and entry fees or one-order-per-person rules differ from venue to venue.
The other is the “Park Fes,” a day of music and food at Utsubo Park (East Garden). Admission is free. Besides three stages, there are 17 food trucks, festival-style stalls and hands-on booths. A kids’ park is also planned, so it should work well for families. Some programs may be cancelled in the event of rain.

Performers range from amateurs to professionals, including the Shirai Resort Orchestra, a special show by ScatRaw (Maho Furukawa and Yukinobu Kami), the JASPER Double Dutch School, EXPG STUDIO OSAKA, a junior high school brass band and many DJs.
The “Noda-Fukushima Genki Bal” returns
Another highlight this year is the revival of the “Noda-Fukushima Genki Bal,” which had been on hold since the pandemic. Visitors carry a bal card and hop between restaurants and bars in the Noda and Fukushima areas. In fiscal 2023 it drew 80 participating shops.
This time it returns as “Nanimiku Bal / Noda-Fukushima Genki Bal” in cooperation with the music festival, and more than 60 shops have already signed up (32 in Noda, 34 in Fukushima). The bal organizers had been volunteering at the festival for years, and decided to try again with the thought, “If we do it together with Nanimiku, let’s do it once more.” You could plan a day around it: enjoy the music, then stop by a shop that catches your eye for the bal menu.

The bal card costs ¥700 in advance and ¥900 during the event. To take part, buy a card, show it at a participating shop, and enjoy the bal menu. Sales will start soon on the official Instagram account.
