Got a free weekend at the last minute? Here is a stay that suits Kansai travelers. Wood Design Park Yoi, a glamping and cottage resort in Shiso, Hyogo Prefecture, starts an “autumn last-minute discount” on Monday, October 12, 2026: the closer to the stay date you book, the cheaper it gets. Reservations made from three days before check-in up to the day itself get 30% off.
30% off from 3 days ahead, weekends and holidays included
There are two tiers. Book 7 to 4 days before your stay for 15% off, or 3 days before up to the day itself for 30% off. The offer covers glamping tents and one-building-per-party cottages on a one-night plan with two meals, on weekdays as well as weekends and national holidays. Stays are eligible up to Saturday, November 7, and bookings are accepted until Saturday, October 31.
Only rooms and dates that are still available qualify, so the offer cannot be used if the room you want is full. It is designed for people who decide on a trip at the last minute. The facility is closed on Tuesday, October 20 and Tuesday, October 27.
Hot spring, firewood and drinks are all included
Since October 1, 2026, the resort has run an “all-inclusive style,” and it is covered by the discount. The room rate includes:
- Natural hot spring: unlimited visits to the neighboring “Shiso Yoi Onsen” during its opening hours on the day of check-in
- Campfire firewood: unlimited, plus snacks such as toasted marshmallows and roasted sweet potatoes
- Drinks: unlimited alcoholic and soft drinks at the welcome lounge
The hot spring is open 11:00–21:00 (last entry 20:30) and closed on Tuesdays. Drinks at the lounge are served 15:00–20:30, with alcohol for guests aged 20 and over only. Campfires may be canceled because of weather or safety.
Spend the day in the forest, then enjoy a campfire and a hot spring at night, and, if the weather allows, a sky full of stars. Not having to think about extra charges is a plus for a casual one-night trip.
Red-roofed tents and a cottage with a wood stove
The glamping tents are easy to spot by their red roofs. Each has air conditioning, beds, and its own bathroom, toilet and washbasin, so they work well for people new to the outdoors and for families with small children.
For more privacy there are log cottages, each rented as a whole building. “PUITA” has a wood stove, and its in-room bath uses source water from the natural hot spring. It also accepts large dogs and multiple pets, so it suits trips with a beloved dog. Watching the stove’s flames is a pleasure of the season as autumn turns to winter.
About 90 minutes by car from Kobe and Osaka
The resort is about 15 minutes by car from Yamasaki IC on the Chugoku Expressway, and roughly 90 minutes from the Kobe and Osaka areas. You do not need a long vacation to get there.
