Shiga Lakes’ para-art shirts open for pre-order until the morning of Nov 2 — a hummel project for an inclusive society

For Shiga basketball fans, the deadline for a rather special shirt is almost here. The “para-art shirt” that B.LEAGUE PREMIER club Shiga Lakes unveiled at its home game on Friday, October 23, 2026 can be pre-ordered at the club’s official store until 8:59 a.m. on Monday, November 2. It is a shirt meant to build an inclusive society, created with the sports brand hummel and Atelier CORNERS, a day-care facility for adults with disabilities in Abeno, Osaka.

A special secondary shirt with sponsor logos, worn by the players

The para-art shirt is a secondary shirt that the players wore from the warm-up. It carries the logo of Sun Chlorella on the chest and those of Heiwado, CIGA Shiga Yamashita and Chulec on the back — companies that support Shiga Lakes. It was planned as a first step toward “a society where everyone can enjoy sports and basketball, with or without a disability.”

The shirt is made of 100% recycled polyester. Tomu Ishikawa (石川十夢), who has driven the club’s SDG initiatives, said: “One aim is to promote diversity so that everyone can enjoy sports. The shirt is also made of 100% recycled polyester, so it ties in with the earlier Love Blue project and with the Lake Biwa clean walks that Shiga Lakes runs.”

It is the first shirt project between hummel and Shiga Lakes since the “Love Blue Project” of the 2021–22 season, a waterside clean-up initiative. The thinking of a team that carries the name “Lakes” runs through this shirt too.

The first Partner Day in the B.PREMIER era, a lively “Hacchake Night”

This was the first hummel Partner Day since the league became B.PREMIER. At Shiga Daihatsu Arena for Round 8 against last season’s champions, Nagasaki Velca, hummel set up a booth selling Shiga Lakes collaboration goods and held a prize draw for signed items.

The game, billed “Friday Night Hacchake Night,” had T-shirts fired into the stands by bazooka between the first and second quarters, and at halftime a PR segment with No Sign, the comedy duo based in Shiga, promoted the para-art shirt. Shiga Lakes won 89–85, bringing its record back to an even 5–5. After the game, Zach August said he wanted to “express my feelings and the fans’ feelings visually, and enjoy it together.”

Short and long sleeves, pre-orders until the morning of Nov 2

Pre-orders are available only through the club’s official store. The short-sleeve shirt is ¥9,900 (tax included) and the long-sleeve ¥11,000 (tax included), in sizes S to XO4 (unisex). Name and number printing is not offered, and delivery is planned for mid-December. Since the deadline is Monday morning, take a look at the official store over the weekend.
