Winter dressing starts early in Umeda. GRVR GROVE, a fashion brand from Seoul, opens a pop-up store on the 3rd floor of Hankyu Umeda Main Store from Wednesday, November 18 to Tuesday, December 1, 2026 — 14 days in all. It is the brand’s third Osaka pop-up, following winter last year and summer this year. Backed by its Kansai fans, it is coming back once more.
The winter collection “Cold Hands, Warm Layers”
The lineup combines autumn staples that are popular every year with new pieces from “GRVR GROVE 26WT ‘Cold Hands, Warm Layers’.” The collection proposes a winter style typical of the brand, with warm colors, comfortable silhouettes and natural layering.
The idea is to mix everyday ease with a clean, firm silhouette, so that each piece quietly brings out the wearer’s individuality. A knit-over-shirt layering like the one in the visual looks easy to try on a walk around Umeda as it gets colder.
Japan-exclusive colors of the “MADISON LAYERED PANTS”
The highlight is the “JAPAN EXCLUSIVE MADISON LAYERED PANTS,” offered in colors available only in Japan. The pants have a design that looks as if another piece of fabric is layered at the waist; the visual shows two pairs, in brown and charcoal gray.
One-of-a-kind pieces like this are a good reason to come to Osaka. It is best to check the official social media accounts before you go to see which colors will be in the store.
1960s trad style, made for today
GRVR GROVE reinterprets mainly 1960s vintage trad style for the present day, aiming for clothes that carry a natural, timeless beauty regardless of trends. It began in 2016 as a select shop called “GROVE” in Apgujeong, Seoul, and started showing its own collections as the shop’s original brand from the Spring/Summer 2017 season. Its popularity has grown ever since.
In Japan, yutori, which runs several streetwear brands, has a distributor agreement with the brand. That is how the pop-up at Hankyu Umeda Main Store came about.
A free tote bag for early visitors
At the venue, the first customers who buy at least one item and follow the official GRVR GROVE JAPAN Instagram and X accounts will receive an “Original I♡GR eco bag.” Quantities are limited and it ends when they run out. Other special promotions for visitors are also planned; details will be announced on the official social media accounts.
