A Kyoto-born fashion brand is teaming up with a character from the early 2000s, with a Chinese-restaurant theme. SPINNS, the apparel brand run by Human Forum Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto), is releasing collaboration items with San-X’s “Nyan Nyan Nyanko.” One of the early-sale venues is a collab cafe in Kobe.
The theme is “Nyanko Hanten,” with clothes and tableware
“Nyan Nyan Nyanko” is a San-X character that debuted in July 2000. The cats love to imitate food, and for this collaboration the world of the series becomes “Nyanko Hanten” (Nyanko’s Chinese restaurant), with Chinese-inspired goods.
The apparel includes loungewear in a cute all-over print and a zip hoodie with cat ears and Chinese-style knot buttons. For the table, there are a Chinese-style glass and a renge (Chinese soup spoon). You can match your wardrobe and your mealtime at home to the same theme.

The editors’ view: the loungewear and hoodie look carefully made down to the cat ears and the knot buttons, and seem easy to wear at home or out. Small items start at ¥550, which makes them easy to pick as a little gift.
Early sale at the collab cafe near Sannomiya, Kobe
The goods go on early sale at the collab cafe “Nyan Nyan Nyanko Hanten,” whose run has been extended. The Hyogo venue is “CONCEPT CAFE KOBE BY SWEETS PARADISE,” from Tuesday, December 1 to Monday, December 21, 2026. The other venue is “COLLABO PARADISE Hiroshima PARCO” in Hiroshima. The Chinese-style drawstring pouch is not sold at the collab cafes.
As an in-store bonus, spending ¥2,000 or more (tax included) on collab goods gets you a collab-design plastic shopping bag. One per purchase, while supplies last. It is not given out with online orders.
Online and in-store sales differ in timing and stock
Pre-orders open at the official online store, SPINNS WEB STORE, from Monday, November 2 at 12:00. Orders are accepted until Thursday, December 31 at 23:59, in limited quantities and while supplies last. Delivery is expected from mid-January onward.
In SPINNS stores, sales start on Friday, January 15, 2027. In the Kinki region, only Umeda carries both apparel and goods; the other stores carry goods only. SPINNS VINTAGE Kyoto will not carry the collection.
