What would Gundam characters wear on a day off? A new project from “STRICT-G,” the apparel shop that brings the world of the Gundam series into everyday clothing, sets out to answer that with a new category called “STRICT-G RUNWAY.” In Kansai, you can buy it at the Taga SA (inbound) store in Shiga, and a new store is due to open at LUCUA Osaka in Umeda on November 24, 2026.
Characters’ “day-off outfits” as everyday wear
The theme of STRICT-G RUNWAY is the day-off coordination of characters from the series. It translates each character’s personality into everyday fashion, with spring/summer and autumn/winter collections. Full-body styling and official illustrations drawn for the project are at its core.
The first collection, Autumn/Winter 2026, stars four characters from “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM,” newly illustrated wearing the collection’s items. The lineup spans outerwear, T-shirts, denim, shoes, bags and accessories.

A collaboration with HiKESHi SPiRiT, from samue to noren
The other pillar is a collaboration with “HiKESHi SPiRiT,” a brand that presents the “chic of Japan” (iki). It brings the Gundam and Char’s Zaku II from “Mobile Suit Gundam” into Japanese-style designs.

The range goes beyond clothing: a samue (Japanese work wear) top at ¥51,700 and bottoms at ¥45,100, henley-neck shirts at ¥7,700 each, T-shirts at ¥7,150 each, a scroll-style tote bag at ¥15,400, a haramaki (belly warmer) at ¥4,840 and a noren (shop curtain) at ¥8,800. There is also a lantern-style stand at ¥6,600 and a necklace at ¥2,750 (all tax included).
The HiKESHi SPiRiT pop-up is in Asakusa, Tokyo, from Saturday, October 31 to Monday, November 30, 2026. A collaboration café is planned at “Otogumi”; menu and hours will be announced later. Otogumi uses a lottery for entry tickets, entered through the official Bandai / BANDAI SPIRITS LINE account after adding it as a friend.
If you are far from a store, you can also pre-order on the “STRICT-G Online Store” of Premium Bandai, the Bandai Namco Group’s official online shop. That is a helpful option for anyone without a store nearby.
