A British autumn at Hankyu Umeda — tartan fashion and Peter Rabbit™ at “Autumn Fashion FUNFAIR” until Oct 20

You can step into a British autumn right in the heart of Umeda. “Autumn Fashion FUNFAIR – British Fashion That Makes Me Smile” is running at Kotokoto Stage 12 on the 1st floor of Hankyu Umeda Main Store until Tuesday, October 20, 2026. The theme is the “funfair”, the traveling amusement fair that is a seasonal sight in British autumn, and the floor features tartan styling and a special Peter Rabbit™ shop.

Tartan takes center stage, with scarves and hats for autumn and winter

The heart of the event is fashion featuring tartan and other British motifs. Throughout the event you will find scarves, gloves, hats and other accessories that come in handy as the weather cools.

Scarves by Joshua Ellis are ¥72,600 and ¥97,900, and scarves by Johnstons of Elgin are ¥132,000 each. Gloves by L’apero are ¥7,700 each, and hats by Mia are ¥18,700 and ¥19,800. A single scarf can completely change the look of your usual coat.

Until Tuesday, October 13, the event also featured O'Neil of Dublin, an Irish factory that has been making kilt products in Temple Bar, Dublin since 1959. Taking its place from Wednesday, October 14 is Cath Kidston, the lifestyle brand born in Notting Hill, England in 1993, with warm-looking bags and homeware in florals and British motifs, on sale until October 20.

A Peter Rabbit™ shop, with meet-and-greets on Oct 17 and 18

Don’t miss the special shop for Peter Rabbit™, the hero of “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” picture-book series set in England’s Lake District. Goods featuring the character, loved for more than 120 years, include an assortment of sweets (¥2,160) and a bag (¥5,280). Follow the official Instagram accounts of Hankyu Umeda Main Store and Peter Rabbit™ to receive an original sticker (while supplies last).

Peter Rabbit™ himself also visits during the event. The remaining dates are Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, with two sessions each day at 14:00 and 16:00 (about 20 minutes each), free to join. Children up to elementary-school age who take part receive Peter Rabbit™ ear headbands (while supplies last). It fits easily into a family weekend outing.

Scones, a British classic, make their debut

From October 14, KOUJI Labo.PARTAGE, which handmakes bread and sweets using koji (rice malt), offers its scones here for the first time. A set of three is ¥1,080 — a snack between shopping, or a small gift.
