At the end of the year in Namba, ordinary female students will step onto a real runway. “GAKUSEI RUNWAY 2026 WINTER in OSAKA supported by BeReal”, a fashion event where female students take part, produced by Kansai Collection, will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2026, at Namba Hatch in Osaka. Tickets went on sale at 10:00 on Saturday, October 10. The main partner is BeReal.
An event where students take on a real runway
GAKUSEI RUNWAY (“Student Runway”) is an event that female students, from elementary school to university and vocational school, can join even with no modeling experience. Starting from the simple wish to “walk a runway”, participants take to the stage with professional help, including auditions, walking lessons and profile photo shoots. The organizers bill it as the largest event of its kind in Japan in which female students take part.
On the day, besides fashion shows by brands popular with Gen Z, there will be a school uniform stage unique to this event, live performances by artists, and photo sessions with guests.
FIELD OF VIEW / Yuya Asaoka perform live
Taking the stage as the “Legend Artist” is FIELD OF VIEW / Yuya Asaoka, with a string of million-selling hits, delivering a performance that spans generations. Also performing are “#Mooove!”, whose members have a combined total of more than 2 million personal followers, and “Onephony”, a group produced by Mio Fukase, formerly of Maneki Kecha. Hinano Himeno (#Mooove!) and Sakurako Tajima (Onephony) will also walk the runway.
There are more than 50 guests in all. The family influencer group “Shogokko”, popular on YouTube, appears for the second time, and the kid influencer sisters “Yunimia” return as well. The lineup also includes 代田萌花 and 土屋惺来, exclusive models for the magazine “Popteen”, and 河村叶翔, who appeared on ABEMA’s dating reality show “Kyo, Suki ni Narimashita” (Today, I Fell in Love). The MCs are MC AMI and Shimon Okura. Performer information is as of October 9; updates will be posted on the official website.
The popular free photo sessions return
The photo sessions, said to be popular every time, will be held again. They are free to join and let you take pictures with the guests you admire at close range. Each guest is limited to the first 30 people, and participation tickets end once they run out. Priority entry tickets let you into the venue 30 minutes earlier than usual. If there is a guest you really want to see, a ticket with priority entry is the safe choice.
There are four ticket types. The second floor has reserved seats and the first floor is standing, and each comes with or without priority entry.
