The square right outside Kyoto Station turns into a craft beer venue this fall. “Kyoto Station Building Beer Festa 2026” takes place on Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14, 2026 at the station-front plaza on the 1st floor of Kyoto Station Building (in front of Hotel Granvia Kyoto). The participating breweries have been decided, and the full lineup of 11 is now set.
Eleven breweries from Kansai to Hokuriku, Chugoku and Shikoku
Eleven breweries are joining, from Kansai and beyond, including the Hokuriku, Chugoku and Shikoku regions. Five of them are first-time exhibitors (marked ★).

Besides local beers from five of the six Kansai prefectures (all except Wakayama), there are breweries from Mie, Gifu, Toyama, Ehime, Tottori and Shimane that you would normally have to travel to reach. Being able to compare them all at the station is a treat.
How it works: a ticket system, with light snacks too
Entry is free. At the reception desk you buy a reusable beer cup (¥400) and tickets, then exchange tickets for beer at each brewery. Tickets are ¥400 each or ¥2,000 for a set of five, and craft beer starts at ¥800 a glass. According to the flyer, payment is accepted in cash and by cashless methods.
Light snacks to go with the beer will also be on sale. The flyer notes that the venue has a roof, so you can drop by even on a rainy day.
